Lyrics:“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us
that we should be called the children of God.
The reason the world does not know us is that it did not
know Him. Dear friends now we are the children of God,
and what we shall be has not been revealed, but we know
that when He appears we shall be like Him, for we shall see
Him as He is.
Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty…
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, “behold the
tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them
and they shall be His people and God Himself shall be with
them and be their God.” And God shall wipe away all tears
from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither
sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be anymore pain; for
the former things are passed away. And He that sat upon
the throne said, ”Behold, I make all things new.”
This is the 10th song on the “Words of Life” cd; which you can listen
to in the “songs” section of my website: wesmichaelgorospe.com
This truth of how much God cares for us and how He wishes to
“lavish” His love upon us, His children, is a desperately needed message for us today. It gets lost in the shuffle of our busyness and
quest to “serve” Him. This scripture reminds us that God, our Father,
is deeply committed to an intimate relationship with us and is transforming us into His image (from Glory to Glory) so that when He appears “we shall be like Him.” This process is accelerated as we spend time with Him in His presence. The more time we spend with Him, the more like Him we become; not by anything that we accomplish, but just because of who He is: the Way, the Truth, the Life. As a result of our becoming more like Him, we can’t help but revel in His presence as the angels do, bowing to His Holiness.
I love that He reminds us that the trials of this world are NOT forever, and that all our sorrows and pains will “Pass away” when He makes all things new.
As you listen to this song, drink in the love of the Father, and imagine yourself in the throne room with the angels singing Holy, Holy, Holy.
Remember that your trials are temporary, but His love is permanent.
Blessings, Wes
