Song #20; Beth (Psalm 119:9-16)

Song #20 “Beth” (Psalm 119)

Here we are in 2019, and our first blog is on song #20 in Psalm 119.

No, Beth is not a person. Psalm 119 is divided into sections; each section headed by a Hebrew letter, and Beth is the 2nd letter of the Hebrew alphabet.

Beth can be found on 2nd CD, Words of Faith and Hope, and can be purchased on my .com website, wesmichaelgorospe.

Lyrics:How can a young man cleanse his way, by taking heed

according to Your Word. With my whole heart I have sought You, Oh let me not wander from Your commandments.

Thy Word have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against You.

Blessed are You, O Lord, teach me Your statutes; with my lips I have declared all the judgements of Your mouth.

I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies as much as in all riches.

I will meditate on Your precepts, and contemplate Your ways.

I will delight myself in Your statutes, I will not forget Your Word.

The focus of 2019, so far, is spelled out in “Beth”, as well as Psalm 1:2, “But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night.”

“Beth” is describing the longing of one’s heart for God’s Word.

Reading the Word, meditating on the Word, getting the Word inside of your heart, and not just your head, will be one of the keys to a victorious 2019.

The underlying purpose of all of my scripture songs is to give all of YOU a tune to help you get the Word in your heart. It is a scientific fact that singing is THE BEST way to remember things long term. NOT listening to someone sing, but singing it yourself.

Think about how long you’ve known “Mary had a little lamb,” or “Twinkle twinkle little star?” Probably decades…that is the power of singing songs. So…if there is a promise in God’s Word that you want to remember, turn it into a song; that’s what I have done. Please, please, please use my songs to remember His promises to you…

“Peace I leave with you”, “Be anxious for nothing”, “They that wait on the Lord”, “Future and a Hope”, etc.…every song is a powerful promise that you can hide in your heart…just download it to your phone, turn up the volume, and belt it out with me in the car, in the shower, wherever.

Let’s make 2019 an incredibly triumphant year…let’s sing together shall we???

Blessings,
